Zines (pronounced zeens) are handmade magazines. They have a DIY or punk aesthetic, are made without professional printing equipment, and are intended to be sold, swapped, or given away. They are traditionally created by marginalized or alienated people who wish to communicate their thoughts outside the mainstream. Zines can be personal, informative, political, fun, promotional... or any combination of the above!
